Kia stepped back, already becoming bored despite the growing danger outside the city. Kia pricked her ears as the sound of a familiar voice spoke excitedly above the sounds of the base. She turned her head to see none other than Yin, and a mischievous smile grew on her face immediately. She disguised herself among the crowd, keeping silent as she watches him from behind the other Felines. With one wispy hand, she sends down shadowy rats that melt away into the floor and reappear beside Yin, their purple eyes gleaming at the thought of creating terror. They wisp up into the air, finding themselves scattered among Yin's body. The dark rats perched on his shoulders and slithered up Yin's leg until everyone was settled. Then, they began to harden. The once wispy and melting rats became a solid form, tough and durable. The rats let out quiet squeaks to get Yin's attention, in case he hadn't already realised that there were rats in and on his clothes and shoulders. Kia watched closely, dying to see his reaction, desperate for something to do. In the back of her head, she could faintly hear Amiki talking about people to take to the fight, but Kia wasn't interested. Right now, a world of girly screams was about to unfold.

Amiki stared over the crowd of felines, she was thinking about which of them would fight. "All Felines above fighting stage separate into groups of your rank, I will come to each group and find out how exactly we will attack. Apprentices, you are dismissed." As Amiki spoke, all the Felines begin to separate. Amiki walked to each group and told them where to go, and what to do. Amiki went back over to the other Master ninjas to discuss what she had done. Amiki nodded and went back to all the Felines in the base "We will fight in 3 days, all of the Felines above High Warrior Rank, will try to train you as best as they can." Amiki dismissed them to the training ground, and then went back inside for more planning.

Yin looks down at his body and realizes that he had been covered with rats. Real life rats. Yin was about to scream, when he realized the color of the eyes that were diligently staring at him. Purple? Eyes? Yin thought for a moment. There's no such thing as purple rats? Right? Yin then thought of Kia. Shadow magic? Huh? Yin gathered light magic on his paws and in a ring around his torso and began spinning as fast as he could. The rats flew off and disintegrated in a beautiful display of miniature fireworks. Yin looks over towards Kia. Does she want me to get mad at her? Or is she..?
Yin shuttered. Chalk one up for Kia. Yin wondered if it was a waste of time to count every time he shuttered because of Kia.. Yin, while thinking about the efficiency of his thought system, processed what Amiki had said. "Yay!! I don't have to fight!!" In his excitement, Yin dropped his quiver on top of another feline's paw. "Oh!! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean t--" Yin noticed that a red bug with black spots had somehow managed to reach the top of the ceiling and was calmly resting above him. Oooh!! So pretty!! Yin began chasing the creature with his light magic playfully, completely forgetting the pain/injury he might have caused the feline next to him.

Kia skipped out of the base, her tail lifted high in the air behind her. She moved swiftly towards her home, finding herself very bored and tired, and in need of some furniture smashing to wake her up. Kia slowed her pace as her home began to come into view. She noticed her scythe, sitting in the house by the window sill, awaiting her return. Kia had left it there before she raced off to the base, and now, seeing the scythe, she felt energized, as if it's very presence was enough to keep her from boredom. She quickly resumed her skip and arrived at the house with an excited grin on her face. It was time to destroy some chairs.

Amiki sighed and went outside, she decided to check up on all the training. Amiki was pleased with what she was seeing, they would be ready for battle very soon. Amiki went back inside to send more Felines on patrol.
Amiki only sent a patrol of her highly trained Ninjas, if they were attacked they would be prepared. Amiki was worried this would turn into a war. Amiki would defend her race at any cost! Amiki started planning where they would attack with her trusted ninjas, this might turn out to be war and the Felines must win.

Yin walks out of the base feeling very happy now that he had thuroughly given the red and white creature a heart attack. I wonder who that cat was that I hurt.... Yin begins walking to the training grounds, thinking about the impending danger that Amiki was talking. On the way, Yin notices a lot of bustle and work going on outside. I guess all of the cats are working really hard to prepare for those creepy lizard people. Yin had a sudden urge to run home and hide in his house until all of this mess blew over, but Yin knew that he couldn't do that.. Yin continues walking until he reaches the place that he was training at earlier. Yin pulls out his bow and one arrow. He fires a light magic enchanted arrow at a tree trying to hit a bump that had formed after possibly losing a major branch. Yin must have launched the attack to forcefully, because the arrow flew right threw two trees before going halfway into a boulder.
"Awww. Not again.. How am I ever going to be able to fight anyone if I can't even retrieve my arrows!" Yin was about to cry when he saw another butterfly fluttering through the air near him. Yin look around for Kia, making sure that the insect-murderer wasn't anywhere within her scyth's reach. He didn't see her. Yin follows the butterfly through the grounds, wondering if the butterfly felt as exhilarated by his presence as he was. Yin creates a transparent barrier of magic around himself and the butterfly so that he could watch it more closely.

Kia reaches for the doorknob excitedly and whips open the door to the house. She races inside and grabs her scythe which was sunbathing by the windowsill. Kia takes a deep breath and smiles at the furniture in the house. The couch seemed to sag slightly, as if it was saddened by the arrival of the blue haired young lady. Kia stepped forward and raised her scythe, preparing to slash away at the couch, then slouched her shoulders. Suddenly, Kia felt as if another step might make her collapse. Seeming as if she was exhausted, Kia fell on top of the couch awkwardly, her face buried deep in the cushions. She rolled over on the couch slowly and stared at the bright white ceiling. Kia set her scythe down beside the couch and stretched her legs across the pale blue silk of the couch. Closing her eyes, Kia quickly drifted into sleep, and fluttered into a deep void of stabbing Yin and holding a caterpillar. Kia mumbled in her sleep, wondering how dreams so odd came to be in a world so sensible.

Amiki stood inside the CCM base, she couldn't sleep. Amiki stepped outside the base, the moon shone over the grass and sand. Amiki practiced a shadow magic technique, her arm swirled around giving out dark purple and black waves. Amiki darted her head towards the base, when she heard Shinimi coming towards her.
"Ma'am." Shinimi dipped his head "The patrol we sent out has been attacked, they're all dead. The Reptilians are coming and it'll take them half a day to get to the city, we must attack now."
Amiki nodded quickly and then went back into the base, she waited for her Ninjas to arrive, it didn't take long before Felines were walking in. Amiki looked at them all "Reptilians are on their way, they could make it to the city in half a day. We must attack now, before they reach the city." Amiki looked down at all of them "The Reptilians have sent a small army, but they might be sending more. We need all of our Felines if we are to win this! Ready yourself."
Amiki went back into her room to ready herself, as her Felines readied themselves. Amiki then walked into the weapon stash and pulled out her sword, it was a long silver sword with a curved tip. Amiki put her sword behind her back into it's carrier, and waited for her Felines to ready themselves and choose their weapons. Amiki knew they would have to attack soon, but everyone must be ready if they were to win this battle.
Amiki brought two of her Master ninjas that she trusted very well, they would plan how and where to attack. Amiki, Shinimi, and Kasumi planned where they would attack "It looks like we should split up into two armies and attack them from the sides, they will not expect that and it gives us an advantage." Amiki decided that they would leave now, they would need to attack before the Reptilians had made it to the city. Amiki went outside, the sun was just starting to rise. Amiki looked at her army, they were waiting for battle. Amiki separated them into 2 armies, the first one Amiki would lead. Amiki had chosen Shinimi to kead the other army. Amiki and Shinimi nodded and lead the Felines north, they would separate as soon as they had left Feline territory and then their attack would begin.

Yin watches the butterfly carefully and then releases the barrier that he had created, letting the creature free. He wondered about how Amiki was doing, preparing for battle and everything.... He began training. The next time something like this happened, Yin would be ready. He enchanted on of his arrows with light and then forms part of the magic into wings. He launches the arrow forward and tries to make the wings lift the arrow upward. He fails. No good huh?
Yin continues to practice this technique until the wings can provide the mobility to lift it up or down, or redirect the arrow towards the way he wants them to go. Now I wonder if... Yin launches an arrow into the air, as high as he can. Once it reaches the pinnacle of its flight, Yin forms the wings again. This time Yin uses the wings to increase the speed of the arrow on its way down. He succeeds.
The arrow reaches the ground and forces itself into the ground. The arrow was no longer visible from the surface unless you looked in the hole it created. "Yay!! I did it!!
Feeling successful, Yin wanted to do the technique again, but he was feeling drained from using his magic so much, so Yin just practiced his aim.

Kia drifted in and out of sleep throughout the night, finding her sleep disturbed by distant dreams and strange memories. She kept waking up as morning neared, and when the faintest hints of sunshine appeared, she lay there, wide awake. Finally, Kia rose from the couch, parts of her legs still fused with the couch cushions. She nearly fell while she was struggling to free herself from the couch's sticky grasp. Kia managed to escape from the couch and stumble to the kitchen, her feet being placed in all the wrong places as she moved. She heated some coffee and sat at the kitchen table, yawning. Kia glanced outside the window for a moment, then rose and moved towards the fridge. She opened up the cool door and peered inside, searching for something to make. Kia's face lit up when she found just what she needed to wake herself up and start the day: Eggs, bacon, and a bottle of creamer. Kia grabbed the bacon and arranged the strips neatly in a pan. After starting up the stove, she moved onto the eggs. Cracking each egg into another pan parallel to the bacon pan, the scent of the warming coffee began to fill the kitchen. Kia left the eggs and bacon to cook and grabbed the coffee pot, eager to try out the new creamer she had gotten a few days earlier. She poured the coffee and opened the lid to the creamer, smiling as the two scents mingled together to create a sweet harmony of morning. Kia took a sip of the coffee and grinned, marveling over the fantastic taste. She set the cup down and began to flip over the bacon, her ears pricking to the sizzle when she shifted the delicious strips. When the bacon was adjusted, she checked on the eggs. The yellow yolks sat in the center of the eggs, bubbling at the edges and signaling for breakfast to begin. Kia set the bacon and eggs on down on her plate and ate quickly, not realizing how hungry she was until she took the first couple of bites. She paused every so often to sip her coffee and glance outside the window. As she ate, she became more and more excited about the day, but she wasn't sure why. Kia assumed she was just off to a good start. When she finished eating, she took a shower, got dressed, and brushed her hair until it was soft and silky. After putting up the dishes, Kia grabbed her scythe and hopped out the door, closing it quickly behind her. Racing away from her house, Kia had some strange feeling that today was going to be fun for everyone. But she couldn't have been more wrong.
