Eclipse awoke early and yawned, she stood up and padded out of the apprentices den. Eclipse took a deep breathe of the morning air and then looked up at the sky, it was still morning and the sun should be giving light soon. Eclipse decided to sit down until she could see hints of light shining through the trees. Eclipse stood up and trotted out of camp excited for her first day of training, she tried to get more familiar to the territory around her. Eclipse's eyes gleamed a bright orange and hints of silver gleamed in her dark grey fur, the sun was almost up now and Eclipse liked the warmth on her fur. Eclipse could see the training grounds, she ran the rest of the way and looked around. Eclipse sat down awaiting for an Alpha to give her orders on what to do next.

Thistle stopped abruptly and turned her head back to look at Okami. "Oh? Did you hurt your paw? You poor thing, let me see." Thistle said in mock sympathy while slowly walking towards Okami. She stopped in front of Okami and leaned her head down to sniff his paw. "So, it hurts here?" Thistle bit down on Okami's forepaw, feeling satisfaction when the salty tang of blood reached her tongue. She released her jaws from Okami and took a step back, pretending to look thoughtful. "Hmm, your right. Your paw is hurt. I guess I'll just have to take you back to camp myself." Thistle grabbed Okami's scruff and hauled him over her shoulders. She glanced up at Okami with a rather unpleasant look and growled. "If you want to stay in this pack, then you'll stop being so soft. Otherwise, I will remove you from our territory myself." Thistle raised her head and straightened out her legs before quickly trotting back in the direction of camp. She pricked her ears and listened to the awakening sounds of the forest as she moved. The sun began to shine through the trees, signaling the birds to begin their morning songs with eachother. Thistle arrived at the entrance to the camp and stopped, flicking her tail back and forth urgently. "Alright, now if anyone asks, you sleepwalked out of camp a little ways and ran into a thicket." She motioned to Okami's paw. "It'll be fine. Now get off! I have to make sure that both Alphas get a full report on today's dawn patrol."
Kaen awoke, startled, because of the wolf whom had entered the training grounds. Kaen stared at the wolf and growled when he recognized it to be the new apprentice they had just gotten the day before. He rose and stood far above the young apprentice, giving hints of silent curses. "Apprentice. Why are you out of camp?" Kaen asked sternly. He circled the apprentice, lashing his tail back and forth. "In case you were not aware of this, apprentices are permitted out of camp only if they are accompanied by a warrior or someone who is even more powerful." Kaen stopped moving and stood stiffly next to the dark apprentice, his voice becoming lined with impatience. "Get back to camp. If you are so eager to train, then you're out of luck. Only after I call the morning meeting does training begin." Kaen glanced at the sky and sighed, shaking his head. "Looks like it's just about time for me to do so. Come, apprentice. I will accompany you back to camp." Kaen padded towards the entrance to the training grounds, suddenly smiling. "What a lucky apprentice you are. You should be greatful-most apprentices never have such an opportunity as this. To walk with the Alpha is a very rare thing indeed."

Okami had lost, he was back in camp again, everything looked so dark.. "Thistle... Please I want you to listen to me. I know I'm just an apprentice, but, there's a t--" Okami stopped, it didn't matter, Thistle wouldn't listen, if this was Thistle anyway. "Never mind, do you know where Sandstorm went, I urgently need to speak with him." While waiting for a reply, Okami had to use ever muscle he could control to keep his body from fleeing this place as fast as he could.
In a flash, another wave of weariness came over Okami, and the memories started flooding in again. He saw the moon and the sun, being separated by a gulf of an arid plain. He saw faces that he couldn't make out in the expanse of this desert. Okami didn't know why, but they seemed like wolves he would never want to meet. Each wolf in the desert had a sort of evil presence emanating from his body, and then the aura of one met the aura of a wolf on the sun, and forever the sun wolf was changed. Okami's thoughts were just jumbled after this. He didn't know what it all meant, but he really wished that these flashes would stop, he didn't want all this in his head.. another howl snapped Okami out of his trance, and he opened his eyes to the new-found horrors of the forest.

Eclipse looked down "sorry." Eclipse didn't think of it that way, she thought of it as shame. Eclipse tried to smile, but she failed terribly. As Eclipse walked with the Alpha, she tried to straighten up and make it look like an honor. Eclipse knew it wouldn't work, she tried not to let her tail droop when she got back to camp.Eclipse thought, "I'll show him that I'm a good apprentice, this time I just got unlucky." Eclipse straightened up, soon the chance to prove it would be coming soon.

Thistle eyed Okami suspiciously then shrugged. "He should be done with being treated for his wounds. He's probably asleep in his nest." Thistle pricked her ears as the sudden sound of pawsteps greets them. She turns her head to see Alpha arriving with a small apprentice close behind. Thistle dips her head in greeting to Alpha and joins him into the camp. Thistle and Kaen pad through the camp in silence and arrive at the mouth of his den. Kaen straightens out his legs and yawns. "It's time to wake everyone up. Would you mind fetching Dapple for me?" Thistle nods and dissapears into the den for a moment before reappearing with Dapple. Kaen and Dapple nod and raise their heads towards the sky. They create a booming howl that carries over the camp and deep into the forest. Slowly, wolves begin to slip out of their dens and create a large group in the clearing of the camp. Kaen, Thistle, and Dapple stand at the head of the group, waiting for all of the wolves of the pack to arrive and settle down.

Okami walks over to Sandstorm, carefully eyeing each wolf warily ready to run at a moment's notice. Okami still can't discern between reality and nightmare, but he continues on, in fear. "Sandstorm, I need to talk to you" Okami looks around him making sure no one was listening "I just cant take it anymore!!! Why me!?" Okami was breaking down. The flashes were becoming more and more intense, he probably shouted to loudly. Okami knew that if he could trust anyone, it was Sandstorm, but now, if the traitor had heard his burst, they might become suspicious.
Okami couldn't talk now, the whole pack might become suspicious, really. The flashes were becoming more vivid again, they had sound now. Indistinguishable conversations now flowed through Okami's head, he now couldn't even tell if what he heard was real or not.
Okami put his head down to hide the tears that were soon to be present. He was shaking vehemently, and his breathing was shallow, Okami signaled to Sandstorm to meet he after the meeting. If only Okami could last that long.

Eclipse stopped just like Alpha, she wondered if wolves were staring at her with shame, was she in trouble? Eclipse wondered if she should go, she wanted to run away and escape all the watching eyes of her wolf pack mates. Eclipse pawed the ground nervously and then lashed her tail, she wasn't sure what to do "Do I leave? Do I say anything? What if I get into trouble?" Thoughts swarmed through Eclipse's mind, she tried to straighten up and look natural "Maybe Alpha will tell me what to do." Eclipse glanced up at Alpha to see if he was looking at her, now was not the time to make him angry. Eclipse quickly stared back down, was she worrying to much? Eclipse decided to stop thinking of the worse, maybe it was an honor to have walked with Alpha. Eclipse closed her eyes and took a deep breathe, then she puffed out her chest trying not to show her embarrassment.

Sandstorm eyed Okami with an inquistitive look then shook his head. "I have no idea what you're talking about." Sandstorm turned his attention back to Kaen, who was clearing his throat in an attempt to quiet everyone down. Kaen shifted his paws and addressed the pack with a calm tone. "Today, dawn patrol spotted a lone wolf on the edge of our territory. However, the patrol was easily able to chase him off. Based on Thistle's report, he won't be back soon." After some nods of approval to Thistle from the other wolves, Kaen continues. "Today, I want all mentors to train their apprentices in the sandy hollow." Kaen lowered his voice to a grim tone. "Since we have yet to come in contact with any wolves of the Lunar pack, we must make sure that all of our young are able to defend themselves." Dapple nods silently and flicks her tail, signaling for Kaen to finish up the meeting. "Now, speaking of apprentices, we have a new addition in our pack. Young Eclipse, I believe, has become an apprentice. It will be nice to have another future warrior on our side." After a few moments of soft laughter, Kaen dips his head to the crowd, dismissing the wolves from the clearing. Sandstorm rises and speaks a few words to Okami quickly. "I wouldblove to speak to you about your issues, Okami, but I'm very busy. I've got to help train you and your den mates." Sandstorm joins Thresh and Kora who speak in excited tones with eachother. After some energized words, the three mentors call out in authoritive voices. "All apprentices, report over here immediately!"

Okami's heart dropped. Even Sandstorm wouldn't listen, and things were getting worse and worse by the second... Okami looked up to the sky, longing for the answer he so desperately needed... Nothing came. Okami began to wonder if all of this was just a bad hallucination, if trees were attacking him when Okami knew that trees were inanimate objects, maybe everything was false too. Okami's breathing was just beginning to slow when he processed what Alpha had said.
Okami bolted over to the new apprentice, Eclipse huh, like the moon.. Okami snarled at the small wolf, this was the same wolf he had encountered earlier. "You!! It's you isn't it?! Your the one who caused this!! Your the --" Okami's voice seemed fierce, Okami noticed what was happening to him and stopped himself before almost letting out an unnecessary word and a probably unnecessary fight. "-- new apprentice right?" Okami finished more calmly and softly. Okami looked back and forth among Sandstorm, Thistle, Alpha with eyes of yearning, Okami knew that he needed to be quiet for now, maybe soon, he could find a way of stopping this nightmare but for now he had to go on like nothing was wrong. It's not like the things Okami was seeing was slowly eating away at Okami's well-being or anything like that.
Okami used all of his might to ignore the things he was hearing and seeing; he looked up, the look in his eyes no longer held fear, it now held the longing for the power Okami originally yearned for, as well as the longing for answers. Because this facade could only last for so long.

Eclipse was just about to get ready to go, when a wolf approached her. "Yes, that's me" Eclipse replied, he had asked in such a strange way. "Is there a problem?" Eclipse woofed, then looked around. Eclipse wondered who that wolf was "HEY!! That's the wolf I saw last night!" Eclipse's eyes were opened wide, she shook her head and then looked the other way "Hey, I have to go." Eclipse was focused on training and wouldn't let anything get in her way of that, she was going to train hard and become one of the best wolves there ever was!

Sandstorm, Thresh, and Kora stared at Okami with concerned curiosity. Thresh glances at Sandstorm and chuckles, slowly shaking his head. Sandstorm and Kora exchange worried looks and try to regain their senses from the situation. Thresh takes a step forward and scans the crowd of apprentices for anything that would be considered 'tough-looking.' "Now, today, we're going to have some more practice matches. First the mentors will remind you of some different fighting moves and techniques, and then you little mice can have at it." Thresh barks, trying to contain his laughter. Kora steps in front of Thresh and glares at him for a moment before continuing. "The first apprentices to fight together will be Okami and Bain." Thresh whispers to Sandstorm while interrupting Kora. "I can see a pattern here." Sandstorm and Kora roll their eyes in disagreement and Kora continues on. "The next pair will be Sear and..." Kora swallows in embarrassment. "What was your name again dear?" Sear steps forward from the crowd and dips her head. "Eclipse, Kora. Eclipse." Kora smiles and turns back to Eclipse. "Yes, Eclipse. Sorry about that!" Kora shrugs, her face reddening. "Now, Sear and Eclipse will fight after Okami and Bain. Winners will fight against eachother and determine the champion apprentice!" Sandstorm laughs and steps forward, casting a glance at Bain. "But, whether you win or not, you must be reasonable and neither gloat nor sulk. Got it?"

Okami gulps. He was fighting Bain, again. Okami didn't have enough training to learn any new tricks, Okami was going to have to fight Bain under basically the same conditions as the last time, only this time Okami was trying to suppress the thoughts flooding his head. Okami had to get ready for a real battle. NO visions. NO flashes. NO backing down. NO substitute for victory.
Okami looks at Bain. What was he thinking? Was he thinking about how easy this fight would be? If he was, was he right? No, I trained little bit yesterday and this morning, I can do this. Okami gave a quick glance at Thresh and Sandstorm and Sear, trying to see through the evil he hoped he was hallucinating on their faces; Okami wasn't going to lose again. Okami waits for the warriors to go over the moves, hoping that the battle would go well-- no, determining that the battle would go well.

Eclipse trembled, this was her first time. Eclipse tried to straighten up and look proud, but she was nervous and she couldn't hide it. Eclipse pawed at the ground trying to build up enough courage to fight, if she was going to be a good fighter she had to be brave. Eclipse shook with excitement, this was her first training session! Eclipse was going to do a very good job, she hoped. Eclipse readied herself, eyeing the other wolves and trying to see if she had any advantages.

Kora trots towards the entrance to the camp and stops for a moment to face the apprentices. "Alright, let's go!" Kora races out of camp and is quickly joined by Thresh and Sandstorm. Sear bounds after them, yelling at the large wolves to wait for her. Bain turns to face Okami and Eclipse, a scowl on his face. "So, are you actually going to be worth fighting this time, Okami?" Bain growls. He shakes his fur and smirks at Okami. "Heh, what a foolish question. Of course you won't." Bain turns to Eclipse, licking his jaws in boredom. "So, what's your name?" He takes a step forward and smiles. "I bet your eager to get to know everyone. Why don't you walk with me to the training grounds?" Bain pricks his ears and whirls around to see Spec standing behind them, an invisible snarl on his face. "Bain. I don't know what you're doing, but back off." Spec steps forward, shouldering Bain aside. "Is he bothering you? If so, all you have to do is tell me and I'll get rid of him." Spec turns around, letting his tail brush past Eclipse and moves back to Bain. Spec whispers a few words to Bain in a threatening tone and pads away to the fresh-kill pile. Bain trots towards the entrance to the camp, spitting silent curses.

Was he just? Eww!!!! And did Spec just? Ewwwwwwwwww!! "Don't worry about him. I'll teach them to....... bother you soon. When I beat Bain....." Okami begins to sprint behind the others."Bain, don't get to hasty now, you need your energy to keep up with me in our fight!!" Okami acted like he could beat both of them....
Okami just hopes he could back up his own words. Okami goes over the Terrain in his head again remembering every obstacle that could get in his way. As long as he paid attention, Okami could win. The flashes were still there though.... Hopefully they won't be a problem.
